"My life is a search for a love which stays real."

One year, in the jungle of the city, the prostitute meets the cab driver who dallies with the au pair who seduces the student who amuses the politician's wife who is bored with her husband who is obsessed with the model who is unmoved by the playwright who is enchanted with the actress who is flattered by the aristocrat who meets the prostitute...

David Hare has freely adapted and updated Arthur Schnitzler's controversial classic LA RONDE into a duet for two actors, who bring hope, hurt and humour of the characters to life through a daisy-chain of erotic encounters and dangerous liasons. THE BLUE ROOM explores the vulnerability of passion, the inequality of desire and the eternal longing for intimacy.
