At the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, High School dropout Berger is torn between the restrictive demands of the establishment and the psychedelic pleasures of liberation. He joins the Tribe, a Be-in of Flower Children led by his friend Claude, for a summer of freedom and happiness. In an explosion of music, they make their please for a 'great awakening': a time of harmony and understanding when peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars.
